Services provided by
Three Rivers Community Services District include:

• Monitoring of the river and well water in the area including reporting to the

   California Water Quality Board

 

• Provide low cost drinking water testing

 

• Septic system inspection for transfers of properties

 

• Inspection of septic systems at owners request

 

• Review and comment to County agencies on septic systems and special use permits

• Investigate and take appropriate action on complaints regarding septic, groundwater,

   surface water and drinking water problems

• Provide homeowners with information about how a septic system operates including

   a homeowner's guide

 

• Work actively with State and Local agencies to achieve compliance with

   state and local ordinances

 

• The agency primarily responsible for the environmental health of Three Rivers

   residents is the Tulare County Health Department.

Septic Systems Inspections

If you are selling or transferring your property, a septic system inspection is often required. The Three Rivers Community Services District will provide an inspection and certificate of conformance stating that the tank has been pumped and the sanitary tee is installed properly. There is no charge for this service inside the district and $ 40 outside the district. A simple dye test can also be run at no charge to test your septic system for leaks, and we will look for other visually apparent problems.
